August and September 2013 was spent in the field on the high Anatolian Plateau where we are working on delivery of stage 1 of an Interpretation Plan for a neolithic archaeological site called Boncuklu. The plan was developed last year after researching other neolithic sites in and around the Konya Plain. We built a new Visitor Centre. It is small but it's dedicated. The quality of construction was commented on frequently and it was possible, before we installed the educational panels, to watch a movie after a dinner of Etli Etmek, a local speciality pizza-style topped with ground meat and cooked in a wood fired oven in the nearby village.
